Event to raise money for senior Zack Fisher

By Valerie Bakke

On Saturday, April 20, Zack Fisher’s family will hold the Road to Recovery Tour.

This event is a tribute concert that serves as a fundraiser for the Brevard High School senior. Fisher was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Ewings Sarcoma just before the 2012-2013 school year began. After extensive chemotherapy and other aggressive treatments, Fisher is recovering from his illness.  The money raised will help pay for Fisher’s medical bills.

The concert will be featuring the bands The Bishop Brothers, The Moon Shine Babies and Dust N’ The Wynn, and there will also be food and raffles. Tickets are $10 each, and are currently being sold at Rockin’ Robin Records and Cagen Family Chiropractic. The concert will be located at the Thomas Hall Auditorium at the Brevard Music Center from 1-4 pm, and tickets can be bought at the door.
