BHS Club Updates

THIS WEEK AT BHS– Brevard High School has many interesting clubs and activities going on during the school year, here is the news regarding club activities this week. To get involved with any club, talk to a club officer or teacher in charge.

Spanish- Spanish club met Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for their monthly club outing at Cielito Lindo. “El club” also had a pizza party on Thursday during SMART lunch B for any members who were involved with their homecoming float.

French- French club had it’s second meeting on Thursday, students could sign up to run for club office positions. They also talked about their cheese tasting held on Nov. 21 after school, the tasting will be open to the public and non-members will have to pay a $4 fee.

Art guild- Art Guild had a meeting Thursday after school to discuss their upcoming D.C. trip Nov. 13, they will be going with graphics, drafting and TC Robertson’s art club. Art guild is also sponsoring the BHS dodgeball tournament on Nov. 22.

Student Council- During the month of November, the Student Council organized the “Thoughtful for Waffles” food drive. Students can bring canned goods, soups or other miscellaneous pantry items to score points for their homeroom class. The homeroom with the most points at the end of the month gets a breakfast sponsored by waffle house.

“Clubs are an excellent way to get involved with the school,” says Diana Bodie, freshman at BHS.
