Dogs sleep on cold concrete at local animal shelter

Brevard’s animal shelter lacks much-needed beds for their animals to sleep on. Since the beds that were being used were did not meet health regulations,  the animals have been sleeping on the cold concrete of their cages.

Tiffani McCall, Brevard High School senior, has dedicated her senior project to raise money for Brevard’s animal shelter.

“All the money that is raised throughout will go towards the animal shelter,”  said McCall.

Donation jars are located in Ms. Hendricks’s, Ms. Desmelik’s, Ms. Thompson’s, Ms. Williams’ and Ms. Owens’ rooms and in the front office.

On November 22, McCall will hold a silent auction at the Recreation Center from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Beverages will be included. All of the money raised will also go to the local animal shelter.

“Many donations have already been made throughout and I tend to keep trying to achieve more,” said McCall.  “At the end of this project I’m trying to raise as much money as possible to give back and to help support our local animal shelter.”
