On April 22, Earth Day is celebrated across the world. Here at Brevard High School, the French Club organized a campus cleanup to celebrate.
Claire McKeller, the president of the French Club, wanted to create more service opportunities for the club. She added, “One of my goals for French Club was to add a volunteer event every semester to help the community.” To achieve her goals, she, along with the French Club, invited clubs, such as the Journalism class, Project Unify, and the Environmental Club, to help clean the campus of Brevard High School.
After putting in an hour of hard work cleaning up the courtyards, baseball fields, football field, and other areas of the school, all of the participants met back to have an ice cream party.
Discussing plans for next year, Claire says “Right now we don’t have any future plans for French Club, but I hope that next year we will be able to do more things like this!” The new prospects for the club and their contribution to the school is very exciting for Brevard High School.
