On May 1, 2015, musician Charlie Puth released his most recent album, Some Type of Love EP. You might say that everyone has heard this album since it has been almost four months since the release. Well, you would be wrong.
This album contains the songs “I Won’t Tell a Soul,” “Marvin Gaye,” “Some Type of Love,” and “Suffer.”
Many people were introduced to Puth’s talent when he was featured in the “Fast and Furious 7″ soundtrack. He was also featured in the song “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa.
Puth’s popularity does not resonate with everyone.
“I didn’t really like the album,” said freshman Christy Vanderburg. “They are sad songs, like the kind of songs you would listen to during a breakup.”
However, some people are hooked on Puth’s music.
“’Marvin Gaye’ is definitely the kind of song that gets stuck in your head,” said sophomore, Meredith Hooper.
When shown a picture of Puth, people often say, “I don’t want to listen to him. He looks like a creep,” or “what’s going on with his eyebrow?” Many people don’t know that his brow was permanently scarred from a dog attack as a child.
Puth is signed to Atlantic Records along with Trey Songz, Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Lupe Fiasco, Ed Sheeran, Kendall, and other artists. Some people would argue that this record company is the reason the album is such a hit. Others would say that Puth did it all himself.
Just like any other song artist, Puth is trying to make a name for himself. Charlie Puth is soon to be a name known by everyone.
