From Eat a Red Apple Day to Ice cream day, there are many weird and wacky days in the month of December.

Even though December is full of wacky days, there are also some very important days. Bill of Rights Day, World Aids Awareness Day, Christmas Day are just some of the days that have a major importance.

On December 1, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus. This historic day would later become Eat a Red Apple Day.

Most of the holidays are celebrated on the same day as other holidays. Cotton Candy Day and Pearl Harbor Day are an example. A very happy subject and a very touchy subject are both celebrated on December 7.

On December 17, the Wright Brothers had their first flight. Celebrated on this same day is National Maple Syrup Day.

On December 24, Christmas Eve, the Apollo 8 reached the moon. Later this day also became National Eggnog Day.

On Christmas Day, December 25, we typically celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ or some families just open presents or spend time with each other. We usually don’t think to acknowledge that it is also National Pumpkin Pie Day.

People should definitely look into these weird holidays and spread the word. So when these holidays roll around we’ll be ready to celebrate.
