NCSSM Acceptance

Next year Sam Lemel and Sara Rain Tree will be going to the North Carolina School of Science and Math (NCSSM). In the month of April, they were accepted to join the school to have a different kind of learning experience than at Brevard High. NCSSM really focuses on students that want to persue a future in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Sara and Sam will be living on campus and taking the advantage of the opportunity.

“I decided to go to NCSSM because they offer a lot of classes that aren’t offered in our high school, and I feel like it would be a great opportunity.” said,junior Sam Lemel. Sam and Sara are both really excited about living on campus because they feel that it will help them when they go to college.

Hannah Lemel also has the opportunity to be involved with the North Carolina School of Science and Math. She will be taking their online classes while also taking classes at Brevard High. Hannah said “It’s a really good opportunity to do classes here and staying in the extracurricular activities I am in currently.” She will be the first student to have this opportunity at Brevard High. Congratulations to the upcoming students of North Carolina School of Science and Math.
