Acting Out at Brevard High

By: Rachel Reid and Nastia Parker

Acting out is not necessarily a bad thing, but what are a few students acting out about?

Check Please by Jonathan Rand is a one-act play about a couple that had broken up and are now trying to get back into dating. The ex-couple was talking to their best friends about the break-up and the friends decided to set them up on blind dates.

The dates end up going horribly wrong. There was a guy dressed as a pirate, a girl who wouldn’t get off of her phone, and a psychic that read feet instead of hands. Also, there was a guy who thought he could speak many different languages but ends up saying random words like baguette and taco.

After all of those horrid dates, the ex’s decided to just stay friends for a little while.

Seems interesting, right? Well, you can go see Check Please this Wednesday in the BHS auditorium at 7:30 p.m. for only two dollars for yourself or five dollars for your family.

It would be ideal to get there at seven o’clock so that the play can start on time.

So, please join us at Brevard High to see a hysterical play!
