Tuesday, April 11, was a milestone for the Brevard High School track and field team. They hosted the first home meet since 2002, 15 years ago.

Many people came out to watch.

“It was really cool to see all the people out there supporting the track team,” said senior Andrew Robinson. “It was a really big success.”

Six other teams attended the meet. Brevard won on both sides. The girls’ score was 236, with Swain County in second with 92 points. The boys scored 165.5 points. Second place was North Henderson with 126.

Many Brevard athletes had great individual success. Madison Baldridge won four events. Sam Kicklighter, Noah Graham, and Andrew Robinson all won three events.
