Senior Night vs Pisgah

As the winter sports season comes to end for the Blue Devils, the Brevard basketball teams hosted a senior night for their last home game of the regular season against conference rivals Pisgah.

In the Women’s JV game, it was a neck-and-neck game. The Pisgah Black Bears ended up pulling away the victory from the JV Lady Blue Devils with minutes left in the game. In the Men’s JV game, tensions were high on the court. With players diving onto the court to get the ball, to both teams getting energized, the game was very fast paced with the Blue Devils desperately trying to fight for the win. The Black Bears ended up receiving the victory in the fourth quarter, very similar to the Women’s JV game.

In the Women’s varsity game, the Black Bears had an easy victory over the Blue Devils. With a score of 62-23, Pisgah was able to get a second place runner up in the Mountain Six 2A League, falling to Smokey Mountain who received first place in the Conference League. In the Men’s game, both teams had an intense finish. With Brevard’s student section going wild in the crowd cheering on the Blue Devils as the drum line played, it helped the Blue Devils maintain a lead over the Black Bears until the fourth quarter. The final score was 58-54, Pisgah.

The Men’s Varsity team for the Blue Devils are now on the road to play in an away conference tournament game at Smokey Mountain in Sylva, NC on Friday, February 9, starting at 6:30 p.m.
