Cooking Corner – 2/12/18

This week for Cooking Corner, we made a Chocolate Nutella Mug Cake! We thought this would be a quick recipe, but we were definitely wrong. While it ended up being really tasty, the process taken to get there was pretty extensive, especially the first time we did it. One upside to this recipe was that all of the ingredients were stuff that you’d probably already have in your pantry at home.

We did two different trials of this recipe, a practice one, and a final one. In the first time, we make the cake, we put in the ingredients with the dry ones first and the wet ones like milk and eggs after. This was a huge mistake and made it extremely difficult to stir and combine. For the final trial that we filmed, we put the wet ingredients in first and made sure to mix the ingredients together after each ingredient added. This ensured that all our different components mixed well together.

Overall, this was a pretty fun recipe to make, and if you’re in the mood for something sweet, this is definitely the recipe for you!
