Art Guild brightens Brian Center

By Hannah Field

On Saturday, April 20, the Brevard High School Art Guild and National Art Honors Society members went to the Brian Center to spread some cheer.

They painted murals onto the walls of the Alzheimer’s and dementia ward of the facility. They got to pick the objects that they painted on the walls; some of the objects drawn were a candle stick, a tissue box, and a Bell jar. Some students worked in pairs while some worked alone.

“It was awesome to be able to get out in the community and do what art is all about  – brightening people’s lives,” said Art Guild president Adriana Barnes.
