Haunted house needs zombie volunteers

By Julia Gurley

The Heart of Brevard is hosting a haunted house for the Halloween festival on Oct. 25  from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. and again on Oct. 29 to 31, and they are looking for people who are willing to volunteer.

“They are doing it as a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity, so obviously it’s a great cause!” said Dara Coleman, the coordinator of the actors.

The haunted house will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 12:00 to 10:00 PM and then again on the following Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Each person will be working two hour shifts. Volunteers will need to be there an hour early for their make-up application. Costumes will be provided, however, if students can bring their own old clothes, it would be a huge help.

“Our theme for this year is zombies because just about everyone from elementary school to college age loves zombies!” said Coleman.

Volunteers are encouraged to contact Coleman either at daragrace23@gmail.com or at 828-577-1000.

“We still need people for all shifts,” said Coleman.
