For Transylvania County Schools, students will get off for Christmas Break on Friday, Dec. 19. School will resume on Jan. 5.
On Friday, Jan. 9, each class will review for exams. Starting on Monday, Jan. 12, the entire school will have the 1st period exam from 8:10 to 12:00, and then there there will be lunch, followed by 2nd and 3rd period reviews.
Tuesday, Jan. 13 will be the 2nd period exam in the morning until 12:00, followed by 3rd and 4th period review sessions. Wednesday will be the 3rd period exam with 4th and 1st period review.
Thursday will be the 4th period exam followed with thirty-minute periods of each class after lunch. Friday will be make-up exams for those who missed one, but it will be regular schedule for everyone else.
The exams for core and CTE classes are mandatory. Classes with teacher-made exams may offer exam exemptions if students have fewer than five absences and B average or better.
