May 4th wasn’t just national star wars day, it was also national bike to school day! So we decided to talk to Hannah Dickson about biking and why she thinks it is important.

Hannah Dickson said she feels as though it is important “because it helps the environment and it also helps reduce your carbon footprint”, she also states that “after a ride you feel really good and just happy”

Bike to school day is an important day because according to the safe routes partnership, if we returned to the 1969 levels of walking and biking to school, it would save 3.2 billion vehicle miles, 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide, and 89,000 tons of other pollutants. It would also equal to keeping more than 250,000 cars off the road each year!

So will you biking to school on this international bike day?
