The Dirty Dodgers Take It All

Brevard High’s Art Guild recently hosted its ninth annual dodgeball competition.

The competition not only gave students an opportunity for fun with friends, but it also raised money for the Art Guild program.

Art Guild is a club that gives students a chance to explore and create with their artistic abilities. Fundraising provides opportunities for new projects, supplies, trips, and more.

The undefeated champions of the last two year, the Dodge Fathers, did not compete in the tournament this year. They were replaced by this year’s champions, the Dirty Dodgers: freshmen Walker Case, KK Jenkins, and Baxter Swicegood and sophomores Lucas Brooks, Anthony Fields, and Mitchell Johnson.

The Dirty Dodgers were followed by the Brick Squad, who came in second place in the tournament. Members of the Brick Squad included sophomores Dalton Calloway, Talyn Clark, Jacob Miner, Breylan Owens, and Dylan Troyer.

“We started out rough, but came out with second place,” said Miner.

The Dirty Dodgers were the champions this year. Time will tell if they will be able to retain their title next year.
