Little Mix is a Big Deal

British pop and contemporary R&B band “Little Mix” is on their way to the top of the charts and dominate the music business.

In 2011 they went on “X-Factor”, but they auditioned separately. During boot camp on the show, “Little Mix” was formed. The members of the band are Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Their mentor on the show was singer and actress Tulisa Contostavlos. They won and is currently the only band that has ever won on “X-Factor UK.”

A year after they won, they made an album, “D.N.A.,” and came out with four singles. It charted in the top five in eight countries.” Little Mix” broke Spice Girls  record for a British girl group’s debut album. They recently came out with their fourth album, “Glory Days”, as well as a book and two perfumes.

They have won many awards including MTV Europe Music Award for Best UK and Ireland Act twice, and last year they won a Teen Choice Award for Choice International Artist.

“Little Mix” are currently the fifth best-selling girl group worldwide. In Australia they have had one single go triple platinum, 3 singles go double platinum, and one of their newest singles, “Shout Out To My Ex,” just went platinum.  

Being a band for five years has definitely made them very close. They are there for each other through heartbreak and the exciting times life has to offer.

In 2015 Perrie and her ex-fiance, Zayn Malik, former member of UK band “One Direction,” broke up. They were together for over 4 years.

“Even though things were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me,” said Edwards in their book, “Our World.” 

After the news broke that “Zerrie” broke up, the press was all over her. She could hardly go outside without a reporter asking her about the breakup. The other girls were there for her by holding her hand, dancing, and being funny, trying to distract the paparazzi.

All of their fans, Mixers, were very supportive too, sending her love through social media. They have a large fanbase from all over the world.

Mixers, don’t just love “Little Mix”for their music, they also love them because they stay true to who they are. The girls of the band are very inspirational women, who inspire girls from all over the world.

“Little Mix” has written several songs about girl power and believing in yourself.

“Little Mix” and their Mixers have a very close bond. For their fans, the band has helped them through life’s struggles and, for some, even saved their lives.

Some fans have been bullied a lot, or they had a lot of family issues, which made them extremely depressed. Several thought about calling it quits until “Little Mix” came into their life. The girls of the band showed these kids that dreams don’t have to stay just dreams. The girls also taught them to stay strong, fight through the hard times, and that things do get better. There are a lot of people in the fandom, that the girls of “Little Mix” really impacted their lives and made it better.
