Any student that is 14 1/2 is eligible for the online course of driver’s ed. This course will cost $60 compared to the sit-down class which is $40. There is a limit to 100 students per online class. Advance registration and attendance are required.

“It’s convenient for students that have after school activities like band, sports, clubs,” said Alan Justice, the director of transportation coordinator and safe schools.

This course will only take 4 weeks to finish, and all work must be completed during the schedule of the course. Make-up work is not allowed.

Junior Noah Housman enjoys a drive.

“Each week will be a new chapter,” Justice said. “Once that chapter is closed, you can not turn in late work.”

After students complete the course, they are required to complete 6 hours of behind the wheel of instruction.

Students can sign up by going to this website: https://www.mtnpro.com/online-classes. When students sign up they need a credit or debit card to pay for the class. After you sign up there will be an orientation about how the class will work. Make sure you put in a valid email.
