A few years ago BHS started holding Danish exchange students here at BHS. In Denmark there schooling is very different.
“From their freshman year on they’re tracked based on their interests,” Ashley Dickson, the special education teacher, said. “This year we are getting the class that is geared toward music,” Dickson said.
From very early they take English as well, so they are very fluent in it and like to come here and practice.
In Denmark they don’t have mountains or waterfalls, it’s a very flat landscape.
“When the Danish students came here they were very excited to see them,” Dickson said.
