Recently, students at BHS won first place in an online international Rube Goldberg Machine Competition.
“[A Rube Goldberg machine] Is a machine is something that’s really complex, convoluted, and kind of psychotic when you get building on it, that does a really simple task.” Said Matthew Hayes, a Junior of BHS in the Rube Goldberg Club.
The team was tasked with putting a band-aid on anything. The aptly named “Frank and Steiners” chose to place a band-aid on Frankenstein’s foot. Along with Hayes, Andrew Smith and Sam Baughman were part of the team. Amidst 26 other competitors from around the world they placed first and took the grand prize.
